Dr. Alex Wong
Alex Wong received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from our very own University of British Columbia. After graduation, he moved to the cold north of Fort St. John, B.C. to provide much needed care to the underserved community. In this smaller town, he was able to give back by providing services that patients would otherwise have to drive or fly several hours to receive.
The several years he spent there helped him see a wide array of cases while still maintaining the flexibility to search out and attend top notch Continuing Education courses around North America. Among other courses, he has also continued expanding his knowledge through the AAID Implant Maxicourse, the comprehensive Kois Center and Invisalign program.
Dr. Wong enjoys all aspects of dentistry from preventative care with children to full mouth rehabilitation involving implants, root canals, veneers and crowns. He believes that a healthy discussion about the options is important so that his patients can make the best decision with regard to their dental health. He is excited to launch this clinic in Coquitlam and looks forward to meeting you soon!
Dr. Vanessa Lee
Dr. Vanessa Lee was born and raised in Vancouver, BC - one could say that she was born to be a dentist, as she comes from a family of dental professionals. While the other children played house, Vanessa grew up playing "dentist" with the old dental instruments that her father gave her. By the tender age of ten, she was already carving teeth out of wax. Thus, it came to no surprise that, after earning her Bachelor's degree in Science, Vanessa attended dental school and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Upon graduation, she was honored with the Award of Excellence in Prosthodontics - since then, Vanessa has been diligent in staying current with the latest dental procedures through various study clubs. She is proficient in many areas of dentistry including restorations, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, dentures, surgical extractions, and implants.
After practicing as an associate dentist in the Lower Mainland for several years, Vanessa found herself envisioning a dental office of her own - one that reflected all of her dental philosophies and had the support of a dental team that shared her vision. With that desire in mind, Vitacare Dental Centre was created - a safe, comfortable environment where Vanessa provides quality dental care to adults and children of all ages. She takes the time to listen to her patients, explain dental procedures and ease dental anxiety. While the focus on patient-centered care altogether, the Vitacare dream team provides a truly welcoming and relaxing experience.
When Vanessa is not at Vitacare, this dog-loving Vancouverite enjoys watching movies and dabbling in cooking and baking. She'd be happy to make you a cookie or cupcake and, of course, remind you to brush and floss after!
